The Sign Control Unit administers the state's Official Business Directional Sign (OBDS) program, maintains travel information plazas located throughout the state, and provides staff support to he Travel Information Council. The Sign Control Unit coordinates the activities of the agency's maintenance districts and the Travel Information Council to control illegal signs as defined by state law.
