This unit is responsible for conducting, monitoring and reporting on highway sufficiency ratings (both for the State Highway system and the Class 2 Town Highway Major Collectors), highway inventory surveys (including sight distance, highway structural conditions, grade/curvature, and video log libraries), crash coding and data entry, highway statistics (mileage and capital outlay), highway system classification (functional class and state and town highway transfers), and highway performance monitoring system (HPMS, a Federal Highway Administration mandate).
