Welcome to the new Vermont OnLine Geodetic Information System.  VOLGIS

New...Upgraded version of VOLGIS

VOLGIS is a web-based, GIS application that allows users to search for, and retrieve geodetic control information using a graphical interface.  This application has moved beyond the initial development stage, and as a result, the look and feel of VOLGIS has changed slightly.  We welcome any comments or suggestions (good and bad), and will do what we can to make VOLGIS a powerful and useful tool for the surveying and mapping community.  Give us Feedback

What's New?  The new version of VOLGIS incorporates the Horizontal and Vertical control information that resides at the National Geodetic Survey, VTrans GPS points, USGS bench marks, and OPUS_DB marks.  The New VOLGIS features a new "Zoom to Town" feature, and increased functionality in the "Identify Monuments" tool.  Also, there is a "Current Tool" area that tells the user which tool is selected.

Move your mouse to different areas of the picture below to see how to use each feature.
