Prompt Pay Compliance Vermont's Prompt Pay Statute requires payment from prime contractors to subcontractors within 7 days of prime contractors receiving payment. The Vermont Agency of Transportation is now tracking these payments to ensure compliance. Prime contractors must submit, by the 10th of each month, a list of all payments made to all subcontractors and suppliers during the preceding month.
