Photo of the overall view of the archaeologists working on various burials

This picture is just an overall view of the archaeologists working on various burials.  The contractors as well as the general public had a great time watching the burials being uncovered.

Photo of burial where buttons and two types of fabric were found.

Burial # 4: Buttons and two types of fabric were found on this burial.  A few pewter buttons were also found, but most were copper alloy.  The fabric pieces were animal and plant based, probably a wool overcoat and linen shirt.  Material found near the neck could have been part of a gun sling.
