Welcome to the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s Statewide Transportation Improvement Program or STIP

The STIP is a staged, multi year, statewide, intermodal
program of transportation projects, funded by the Federal
Highway Administration or the Federal Transit Administration.
Projects listed on the STIP are consistent with Statewide
Long Range Transportation Plan produced by the Vermont Agency
of Transportation as part of a planning process that involves
the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization. The STIP must cover a period of not less than 4 years, and it must be fiscally constrained by year and include financial information to demonstrate which projects and project phases that are to be implemented using current revenues. The STIP also contains capital and non-capital projects. |
