Our office is  responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state EEO/AA and labor requirements within the Agency and on all DOT funded projects.  The Agency's goal of creating workforce diversity and a workplace free from harassment, intimidation and discrimination, is pursued through the development and administration of numerous programs and initiatives. Our mission is to create workforce diversity and long term retention of minorities and women on VTrans administered construction contracts funded by FHWA; To ensure compliance with all DOT regulations pertaining to DOT funded projects; To resolve the current underutilization of minorities and women in the transportation industry by providing a diverse range of opportunities and elimination of barriers and by maintaining a dynamic DBE program; To assure a workplace free from harassment, intimidation and discrimination.
